Operating Systems: Compare and Contrast

This wide range of applications do have one thing in common, they can be available to the user by the time the operating system is completely installed. Any applications that come from other sources are considered to be part of the operating system.
             Performance and capability are usually features that enhance an operating system in regards to how it handles such components such as memory and how it handles multiple processes.
             Security features have just recently become important component of operating systems. Encryption of files and SSL are just a few examples of the numerous security features that could be available in an operating system.
             Display and graphic features is category that has been important even in the earlier operating systems. As these features get better the productivity and usability of a computer becomes greater.
             There are also many features that do not fit into any of these categories but are still important. One example of this is operating systems that support International specific settings such as keyboards, language, etc. All these categories can be used to make a valid comparison of the three operating systems related to this team project. This comparison should show how they are similar and how they contrast.
             Windows CE.
             Windows CE is a small, configurable, real-time operating system. While there is not a lot of information readily available on Windows CE most reviews seemed to speak positively of the new and exciting Operating System.
