1984 George Orwell

"If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever!" From hearing these words from O"Brien, a cold and powerful shiver ran throughout Winston's frail and distraught body during his initial stages of harsh punishment and severe learning within the depths and boundaries of the dreaded ministry of love because, to change one's mind is a confession of weakness. While at the merciless hands of O"Brien, a once and trusted friend has now turned out to be his savior, in which he shall cure Winston from the only true crime left in society, Thought Crime. As Ampleforth said "There is only one offence, is there not?".
Imagine a world without rules or controls, borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible, anything which the human mind desires? .
In the world of 1984 this would be impossible, the world of Oceania is controlled by a vicious and ruthless dictatorship only known as Big Brother, slogans and giant pictures depicting this beast have only a single caption, "Big Brother is watching you" Positioned on just about every street corner and wall available it sends a spine tingling message to all the citizens of Oceania, that Big Brother is watching you, the party is watching you through the never silent telescreens which help control the world of 1984. .
In 1984 The Party controls the world of Oceania through whatever ever means necessary, it will even go to the full extent of asserting force over another through lies, deception, propaganda and violence. These are just all instruments used by the party in obtaining their only source of drive for quest, power over another human being which diminishes any hope for the people of this world. .
For there to be control of a society or over people there must be hope. Unlike Oceania who controls its millions of citizens, where it seeks power by asserting force over another individual, power is inflicting pain and humiliation.
