Reality Television Shows


            Since the beginning of 1992 Reality Shows have grown to be American's number one most watched program to this day. A reality show demonstrates a group of people revealing themselves to the public on a more personal note. It is an access to show us the viewers how they go on with their own normal life an access to show us the viewers the right to watch them when they sleep, eat, work, have sex and cop with roommate situations. We the viewers have the full advantage to act out as Peeping Toms from th safety of out own home. However what is the main concern here is this just a vase like leg warmer in the 80's or will this continue on.
             Shows such as "The Real World", "Road Rules","The Osbournes", "True Life" and "Diary" have kept MTV on the top rating; then agaon MTV have competition. With other networks such as E! Entertainment, which have brought "Anne Nicole Smith SHow" have demonstrated that networks all around are fighting to make history as the most top rated shows and networks. What makes realtiy shows successful is the cast's personality; this is a big part for it's what makes it so dramatic, suspenceful and at times heart-warming.
             For twelve years reality show MTV's "The Real WOrld" have taken over the so-called Tuesday night's line up. Young adults and teenagers have watched over the years how "The Real" go through masses of dramatic situations that bring questions out for those that are kept behind closed doors. Having a cast of young people dealing with real life issues such as paying the bills ahve brought an audience of teenagers and of course young adults dealing with the same problems. Other issues have been brought up that also concerns young peole today; issues that target young adults such as AIDS. sex, gay right, ect. Producer from the MTV's "The Real WOrld" Jonathan Murray have contributed on maing sure that ordinary people with goals have a chance on showing on how living in the real world is for them.
