             In life, if your in a bad place with a lot of sorrow and pain, then most .
             In the book Night, there are three settings .
             that contribute to the development of mood and the characters in the book.
             Sighet normal was one setting that contributed to the .
             development of mood and characters in he book. Elizer's family lived in a .
             quiet, peaceful neighborhood, and it was just like very other early spring for .
             them. As said in the book "Spring, 1944, the trees were in blossom. This .
             was a year like any other with its springtime, its weddings, and births. Elizer .
             is busy studying the Talmud and everyone is very religious. It's a very .
             carefree setting, and this setting makes the characters become relaxed an .
             optimistic. .
             Sighet under occupation was the second setting that contributed .
             to the development of mood and characters in the book. News began being .
             controlled by German's yellow star. The Jewish people were forced into .
             large ghettos, and then they were moved to smaller ghettos. All of their .
             possessions were taken away from them. People gradually started to become .
             less religious and started to pray less also. The mood was low, but they still .
             kept their optimism. They really were clueless as to what was going on. "Oh .
             God, Lord of the universe, take pity upon us in Thy great mercy." This quote showed that even though they became less religious, they still looked .
             to God for help through this difficult time.
             The third setting that has had a major impact on the mood of .
             the book and the attitude of the characters is the 42 mile hike. The 42 mile .
             hike was extremely hard for Elizer and his father. It was unbelievably cold .
             and more people were dead than alive. Their morale was very low and if it .
             wasn't for his dad, Elizer wouldn't care if he lived or died. "Don't think. .
             Don't stop. Run." That was what Elizer kept saying to himself to keep .
             motivated. This was probably one of the hardest setting for the characters in .
