Personal Narritive - A Daughter's Horror

It was three o'clock in the morning when Samantha awoke to the sound of screaming from the room across the hall.
"Not again,"" she moaned as she cracked open her light blue eyes, rolled out of bed silently, and tip-toed over to her bedroom door. Opening it slightly, she could hear the screaming much louder now, like she had opened the door to hell.
Rolling her eyes, she tip-toed out into the wooden hallway, passed the door from which the screaming was protruding from, and descended the stairs on the tips of her toes. She winced at every squeak she heard, hoping that the screaming duo would not hear her. .
As she reached the bottom of the stairs, she turned to her right and moved silently to her brother's bedroom where she figured he lay asleep in his bed. She brought her knuckles up to his door to knock lightly on it, when it opened.
"David,"" she whispered as she looked up at her brother's 5'8- figure in the shadows. He had obviously just woken up from the look of his disheveled, brown hair. "They're at it again. I can't sleep with them screaming like this all the time. I'm so freakin' tired of this!-.
"I know,"" he replied sleepily, "let's go. I'm gonna stop this right now."" With that, Sam climbed the stairs, following her brother. They didn't try to be quiet this time either. When they reached the top of the stairs, Dave motioned to his sister to stand by her room. Sam knew exactly why he was doing this. The two in the room had a history of being violent, and she could tell that he didn't want her hurt. For a while they just stood there, listening. It was only when the woman screamed something about him and his sister that he decided that it was time to intervene.
             He banged on the door.
"I'm so tired of this Dad!- he yelled at the door, "I'm tired of you and that crazy woman screaming at each other at all hours of the night! Either you two learn to deal with your problems another way or me and Sam are gone!-.
