World War I

World War II was probably one of the worst wars in the history of mankind. Among all the other wars in history, the Second World War had the highest death toll of 55,714,000 people from1939 to 1945. During World War II, two most dreaded and memorable events took place, the Holocaust and the Japanese-Canadian internment. The Holocaust was the systematic annihilation of six million Jews by the Nazi regime during World War .
II. When Hitler was elected to power in 1933, he immediately started to persecute German Jews. Many innocent Jewish people were killed during the Holocaust and this is why this horrific incident is remembered by the whole world till today. Jewish were treated almost like untouchables which is completely immoral and unjust. Jewish owned businesses were boycotted and Jewish employees were fired from their jobs. They were forbidden to marry or have sexual relations with other Germans and their German citizenship was revoked. Jews children were forbidden to attend school and other educational institutions. However, the persecution did not end with prejudice acts. In 1939, Jews were compelled to live in ghettos so that it would be easier to humiliate, torture and murder them. Millions of men and women were sent to these extermination camps where they make them slave for a few days and them kill them in a brutal manner. Many Jews would die before even reaching these camps due to starvation, lack of water and lack of air on the trains. Another way in, which most Jews were killed, was the use of a gas chamber where number of Jews would be locked up in a room and gas would be released thus choking them to death. In the name of science, a number of possibly fatal experiments were conducted on Jews. Their excuse for this was might as make use of the Jews since their going to die anyway. I cannot believe how one could be so cruel and cold-hearted to kill millions of innocent people so brutally.
