Does Mtv Control the World

The influence of MTV on the youth of America is becoming to powerful and has control of many aspects of people's lives. The MTV generation as we are called is exactly what we are. The way that MTV presents life to an average American child is misleading and too glamorous. I think children should be able to think for themselves and become creative in their own ways, but MTV is an icon to most children and the children see these luxurious stars and try to imitate them in every way.
Take for example Brittany Spears she is a pop superstar. Every little girl in America tries hard to be just like her. The truth behind it though is that these girls are being given the wrong idea of what life is supposed to be about. Instead of being themselves they try to mimic the lives of stars. .
This trend is not only for girls though, every male American seems as though they are rap superstar. The male population tries in every way to be the same as all the famous rappers that are out there today. Everywhere you look there is someone who dresses like they just walked out of a television screen. I don't hold a grudge against anyone for these reasons I just feel that they should be a little more creative with things. I dislike when I look around and everyone looks exactly the same.
MTV is a company that when it first started did a lot of good things for music. But now it is destroying what music should be in order to make a buck. As a musician myself, I feel music should be something that comes from the heart and not something that is produced and filtered until there is nothing original left. I wish MTV would go back to the days when it was strictly music and not a fashion show.
