Homeless

People go through life witnessing or being a part of something, which is threatening or life changing. For the most part however, some people take things differently than others. I myself have witnessed someone being an outsider in my life. This particular event wasn't a huge ordeal in my life, but it made me think of how my life could be.
A couple summers back my dad and I went to the Sammy Hagar concert in Cleveland. When we parked the car and walked to Hooters for some wings and pitchers of beer before the show. We passed a homeless man on the street asking for change. I did not think of it as a big deal, but it started to make me think about how hard that man's life has to be. My dad and I threw him a couple of bucks and some smokes. It was the least we could do.
Shortly after we passed the homeless man, and sat down at Hooters. My dad brought up the subject about how important it is to do well in school. He used the example of what happened earlier and said, "Trust me Dustin, you never want to end up like that. I don't care how shitty your life is" I took that to heart, he did make a very good .
             2.
point when we started drinking beer again, he said; "oh yeah, drinking is fun but don't make it a habit". .
The homeless man on the street reminded me of an outsider. I could just see how everyone that walks past that man paid no attention, laughed, or did the Good Samaritan deed. Maybe it is just because of how society is today; someone on the street is looked as a criminal, or a drug addict. Not all homeless people are addicts or criminals" some have job losses or break ups this is one thing I know people think about homeless people.
There are lots of reasons: the break-up of a marriage or relationship; the loss of a job leading to the repossession of a home or inability to pay the rent; an addiction or abuse of drugs, either prescribed or illegal; alcohol or even gambling. .
People may become homeless because of a mental illness, although as with drug or alcohol abuse, some people become unwell or develop a problem because they have become homeless.
