Effects of marijuana

In the United States, there are many people that do drugs, and do not get caught, and they think it is still right and legal to do it. However, it is not right. Drugs are illegal in the United States, although sold by many people and used by many, they will keep continue to use drugs. Drugs like marijuana have many effects on people, possibly causing them their lives. So today, let's look at some of the effects of marijuana. .
Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States. It is a dry, shredded green or brown mix of flowers, stems, seeds, and leaves of the hemp plant called Cannabis. Marijuana is smoked as a cigarette, in a pipe, or a bong. It also is smoked in blunts, which are cigars that have been emptied of tobacco and refilled with marijuana. It is mixed in combination with another drug. .
The main active chemical in marijuana is THC. The membranes of certain nerve cells in the brain contain protein receptors that bind to THC. Once the THC is in place, it kicks off a series of reactions that lead to the "high" that users experience when they smoke marijuana.
The short-term effects of marijuana use can include problems with memory and learning; distorted perception; difficulty in thinking and problem solving; loss of coordination; and increased heart rate. THC impairs the immune system's ability to fight off infectious diseases and cancer. Smoking marijuana for a very long time for many years can cause serious effects on your brain, or even death. So stay away from drugs like marijuana because it is illegal, and if caught, you could be sentenced to jail for a very long time, and it could lead to your death for smoking it for periods of time if heavily addicted to it. .
