A New School

Most schools these days are kept in relatively new and good condition. But, there is one exception, Moon Area High school. As I walk the halls of the school, I have noticed large amounts of dust and dirt on the floor. Also, I noticed that the ceiling tiles are covered with dirty water stains and excessive amounts of mold. Recently, we had a health department come in and inspect our school and they said we didn't pass inspections. So, our school replaced a few ceiling tiles and then we supposedly passed inspections. But, the fact remains that our school is in bad shape.
The morning after a large thunderstorm some floors in school were soaking wet. Students, teachers, and principles were slipping all day long. One of my friends shattered his arm in gym class due to the fact that he was running and couldn't stop. Part of the problem is that our school has been around for sixty plus years. Our ventilation most likely isn't new and functioning to its fullest ability. Plus we have no windows in our school if we ever wanted some fresh air in the class room. The pipes and plumbing system in our school is way too old and rusted. After school that day, janitors and plumbers went to work and fixed our problem. .
At the beginning of the school year, we had a class meeting like we do every year. In this class meeting, Mr. Hauser talked about our school improvements. One of those was that our school had been mopped, dusted, polished, and painted. Mr. Hauser seemed pretty excited about this accomplishment. Meanwhile, most schools get cleaned at least once a week. Some times you walk into school and you have sinus problems until the minute you walk out of the building. Well, the huge accumulation of dust on the schools floor can't help the problem. The fact of the matter is that our schools floors are extremely dirty.
Recently our school was tested for cleanliness and the school failed miserably. We made the "Six O" clock" news that day.
