As a student at the University of Tampa, I majored in finance. Through the education I obtained as undergraduate in marketing and finance, I decided my career path was to own and operate my own business. I am also very interested in law and wanted to follow in my father and grandfather's profession as an attorney. To combine both of these goals is realized if I am able to obtain a degree in law, as well as a graduate level business degree. My work experience has been limited to summers, as I just graduated from college this past year, and was fortunate enough to enter law school after graduation.
I have been able to experience business first hand, as I obtained internships with financial powerhouses Paine Webber and Smith Barney. There, I interned for two CFA's where I analyzed stock information, produced client presentations, and organized client portfolios. I also worked part time for four years for the New York Yankees in the finance department as an intern for the CFO. There, I analyzed budgets, processed accounts receivables, and cash receipts. Global Internet, in Margarita Island, Venezuela, also employed me. Here, I worked in the accounting and marketing departments, where I dealt with fraudulent accounts and researched new areas of marketing online. Finally, I worked in the law offices for my father, who is also a municipal court judge. With the combined business and law work experience, I realized the importance of higher educational goals. The more I worked, the more I knew I needed to enhance my education.
In addition to my work experience, I have also traveled, on my own , to thirty countries and fifty cities. I was a student at the University of London for a semester, where I also worked for an attorney. This international experience has given me a great global perspective as well.
My career goals include owning and operating my own business, as well as possibly some practice of law.
