Julius Caesar

Being the leader of a as assignation plot and being the leader civil war take the right type of person. You have to make smart and quick decisions. You also have to be very persuasive. Brutus and Cassius are to main characters of the conspirators. Brutus was a noble man who was very close to Caesar. Cassius was a smart and reasonable person. I am going to compare and contrast Brutus and Cassius.
I think Brutus is a more suitable person to lead the assignation plot because he was very close to Caesar. (1.1.40-41) Brutus also believes that he is doing Rome a favor by having Caesar assonated by the conspirator of the conspiracy. (2.1.10-34) I also believe that Brutus is honest because he refuses to take bribes from the townspeople. (4.3. 72-89) I also think he isn't suitable to lead the civil war because his judgment at the battle of Philippi are based on philosophy. (4.3. 228-237) I don't think Cassius is a good person to lead the conspirators because he is not as close to Caesar. He is also afraid the Caesar has ambitions to be king. Cassius is afraid that Caesar could become king at anytime. (1.2) Also before the battle of Philippi, he is accused by Brutus of taking bribes. (4.3. 9-12) I think Cassius is the one to lead the civil war because his plan for the battle at Philippi is well thought out. (4.3. 219-227).
Brutus and Cassius had the same goals. They both wanted to keep Caesar from becoming king and to get rid of him. (1.2) when Brutus was first in the conspiracy Cassius was in charge. As we got further and further into the book Julius Caesar Brutus started to get more and more into control. (2.1).
I just compared and contrasted Brutus and Cassius so who will be more suitable to lead the conspiracy and the Civil war. I thought Brutus was a good person to lead the conspiracy because he was close to Caesar and he would of never of suspected him. Cassius was a more suitable person to lead the Civil war he was reasonable and he uses his mind.
