Lend A Hand

The world we live in now has been overshadowed with gloom, terror and violence. It is starting to become a place where in people are helpless and alone, feeling that there's no hope left for them, seemingly have no definite direction in life. They are the people who are scared and can't stand alone in the uncharacteristic and cruel world of ours. They need help from someone who will be happy to offer some to them. They are the poor, they are the impoverished, they are the poor street children, running and sleeping in the streets, which made as their home. .
We can simply live our life alone. To live the good life we have and never care for anyone else but us. But it is a shame to be called the children of God. When it is in giving that we receive the glory of God. Life is not made for only but ourselves alone, but rather us. Man has been overwhelmed by his problems. And in our society, he can't stand alone. He need the help of others. Just imagine the people living in the streets having many children and with no food to eat. Imagine the people who because of their problems, turn to drugs and violence. These are just only a few of the disgusting picture of our deteriorating society. What would be its effect to the youth? Youth is the main concern here. In their hands lie the hope of the nation. And in reality, youth has become intolerable, doing things they want to do without really knowing what they are doing. They are greatly influenced by the wrong people - the kidnappers, drug addicts, etc. Because of poverty, they are forced to do what they've told to do, thinking that it would help in uplifting their way of life. But the effect was just as deadly. They have become the toys of society; a tool for abuse, hatred and violence. Just look at their faces when you see them in the streets. Their faces filled with grease, their feet swollen, and their shirts and shorts already stinking. If that is the vision we see now, we"ll never have a good vision for our future.
