Mohandas Gandhi and Nonviolent Resistance

In Stalin's case this method of nonviolence would have worked as well because being a dictator as Stalin was, he established many imperialistic colonies in which he ordered everyone to use capitalism. So if all those colonies that he took over such as Finland would have used nonviolent resistance Stalin would have been forced to come up with another plan to up his country. All the countries that used capitalism such as Germany and Russia only benefited themselves and not those countries that they were in control of. Gandhi's resistance helped set his country free and put them a step ahead of all others. For the people of Iraq this method would not have worked for their benefit only to their disadvantage. For the countries under the rule of harsh dictators such as Hitler and Stalin this method of resistance would have worked nicely. .
"Gandhian Power" is difficult for the people protesting and for the authority receiving it. The reason is because there are risks involved for the both of them. For the ones who are protesting, the risks are if the protesting fails in any way and if it does not make an impact. For those receiving this resistance, the risks are that it might take over and they would be forced to leave. It is difficult for those who are protesting since they must refrain from using any violent acts and must not fight back. They must be able to balance their temper and not let anything get to them. To achieve this goal it is very demanding and difficult to be able to hold yourself back and be resistant. This type of power demands a high tolerance and to gain this is something in which you must work hard for. By letting others take you to jail and not fighting back is hard, but this is what Gandhi did and he succeeded in proving his point. He stood up for what he believed in by acting nonviolently and putting India a step forward. Those who protest, although difficult it is difficult, will prevail.
