April morning

            
             The novel and the movie April morning were very similar and told the same points and shared the same story line as each as each other. But there where differences between the two. They both where about a boy who lived in Lexington, Concord in the later 1700's named Adam cooper. The book and the movie tell the story of Adams two most important days of his life. Thought the novel and the movie share traits there where some differences. In April morning the movie it worried more about cinema rather then facts, some scenes where cut out, as well as some characters where changed or taken out.
             Have you ever seen a hallmark love scene? Well April morning illustrates that very clearly in the movie. Its shows Adam and a girl, Ruth in very long flirty scenes that drug out to make the story almost like a love story between the two. Where as the book doesn't drag it out as long as the movie. In fact in the movie it was very hard to distinguish that the two were a couple, but in the book they made more clear that they more then just a flirting kids. It was also very clear to any historian that the movie was much more focused on cinema rather then the facts for when the first battel took place in the grass field they showed a guy on the militia side hiding in the rocks as the guy who fired the first shot. But anybody who knows about the battle knows that the first shot was undetermined on who shot it whether it be the British or the militia know body knows for a fact which side shot first.
             In the beginning of the movie the they give you an attention grabber where as in the book they just start out with Adam doing his chores and being ridiculed by his father about how lazy he is. After the militia were in battle with the British; men from the militia ran to different places to take cover. Adam was one of the luckier men that didn't receive a bullet from the end of a British soldier's musket, he ran into a smoke house as shown in the movie but the movie didn't show the long night of his hide out.
