How differences can affect other feelings

The two character are different in many ways, they have something in common, their youth and their immortality or as we say, everlasting life. The two characters that I'm talking about are Jesse and Miles Tuck. These two are brothers, and since the day that they came upon the magic spring and drank some of the water, their lives changed forever. But they didn't notice anything until many years later, when they had a couple of accidents, which to ordinary people would have killed them. They may look young, but one of them as experience more in life than the other one. And that in every case is normal and unique, that someone experiences more things in life than the other one, but these experiences are the ones that can tell us who is more mature. But if you suddenly turn immortal, like the characters in Tuck Everlasting, maybe you won't experience life the same way as a mortal being. Because you won't age a day older, and as the years goes by you gain more knowledge about life and you grow more mature, but if you stop growing, probably your whole existence will stop. And if your existence stops for feelings towards something will change or will be different. This is the case of Jesse and Miles Tuck; Miles on one hand is the older one. He was the one that worked really hard on something in specific. He fell in love and got married. Then he had children, which he loved very much, but because of the water that he drank he didn't age a year. But his wife in the other hand did grow old and his children did the same thing. They all kept growing and he stayed behind, almost looking as young as his children, and what would people think if your father looked the same age you did. They'll probably think that he did some kind of spell to keep himself young or something. His family left him, and after that he probably thought that being immortal wasn't a good thing, but a curse that fell upon him.
