American Youth

" Sure I like to look for a deeper meaning in life but from all the thought that ive put into it I have come to the conclusion that man has no more purpose in life than an ant does. Basically to sum it up we live to live procreate and die. There is no need for a computer except for the fact that it will make my philosophy of life paper easier for my teacher to read and edit.
Most people want everything to be as simple and easy as possible. When you sit down and look at it from an outside view once again life would be so much simpler than it is without everything that we have to make it simpler. When you get something like a computer and you begin typing all your papers on it and you are like wow this is really simple and easy until that one day that your computer breaks or the printer jams or you loose your disk and then you are screwed because you are so reliant on something so unnecessary. The complications of life are the simplifiers. A car sure does make it easy to get around but wait until that day when you have to call in to your work and explain that the thing being a car that makes life so simple suddenly threw a wrench into the whole thing and screwed it up. Now that you are late to work again you don't get the rase that you were hoping for and your wife gets pissed off at you so now you go to the doctor because you've been feeling blue and he gives you al ittle pink pill that blinds you to the reality of life and all of its troubles which then makes you look back at it when you are an old man and say god my life sucked I could have done so much more with it but I thought I was happy so I never bothered to fix the way my life was so now im a 65 year old alcoholic who is divorced and I ruined my life because of a freaking car or a computer disk or a printer failure.
The troubles of life are all so that we think we will be happy. Some people think that the 55 hours that the put in a week will make them happy for the 64 hours a week that they are not working or sleeping.
