This type of figure shows that the Hispanic market it is one that corporations can not leave unattended. Hispanics are making their presence known and felt. They are currently over 30.3 million Hispanics in the United States and their purchasing power has gone as high as 273.40 million dollars a year. Looking at this numbers t will be not a surprise if more advertisers would choose to target the Hispanic market. For example, Salma Hayek for Revlon and Daisy Fuentes for Philips televisions are some of the Hispanics faces and names promoting products in Spanish and English language ads. The Taco Bell Advertising, starring a little Chihuahua with his famous words, " Yo quiero Taco Bell", shows the increasing influence of Hispanic culture on advertising in the United States. By 2010 Hispanics are projected to become the second largest race/ethnic group in the United States, which represent a tremendous potential to U.S. marketers. .
             Did you know that the United States is the fifth largest Spanish speaking country in the world and Los Angeles is the third larges Spanish speaking city in the world. Lets talk about Hispanic Americans; Hispanic Americans are more likely to be found in urban areas where they are able to keep their culture and heritage in typical Latino neighborhoods in large cities. The majority of Hispanics are located in San Francisco, San Diego, san Antonio, Sacramento, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, and Chicago. .
             Hispanic Americans come from as many as 24 countries, with Mexicans accounting for 65% of them. One key point to keep in mind about Hispanics is that every country origin have great differences in their demographic, social and economics to mention a few. Each Hispanic group is distinctly different and possesses its own customs and eccentricities.
