Today is the day we've all been waiting for, the day we've been working towards for 13 yrs now, this is the day when we are at one time Dundee High School students and then at a split second we are now Dundee High School graduates. But right now I want all of you students to look around at your fellow classmates for a few seconds and remember all the memories you have had with these people because after all the graduation parties and when everyone is off to college, the fact of the matter is, is that you will probably never see most of these people ever again, besides when they come back for our high school reunion. It is a sad thing but it's just another step we have to take in life.
Most of us have been going to school with each other for our whole lives and we are used to seeing each other everyday, but pretty soon there are going to be a lot of things we aren't going to be used to. We aren't going to be able to see each other everyday or ask each other for help on homework, all these things are now coming to a close and we"re all going to experience new things. Maybe some of us will join a frat or a sorority, or some of us will go directly to the work force. But now we are all headed in different directions. Some of us are going to college, whether it is two-year, four-year, in-state, out-of-state, or wherever, but wherever you end up, I want all of you to do what Wendy Wasserstein once said, "Don't live down to expectations, but go out there and do something remarkable." We can all do this if we really want to, but if you don't try your hardest at it then you don't know what you can really achieve. .
As we look back at our high school memories, we shouldn't forget the little things because those will probably be what we will all miss most.
