A machine or table or dealer is hot or cold, problem gamblers are attracted to different forms of gambling for different reasons. Some are attracted to the sensory stimulation of video games of chance, while others to the perception of skill in cards or sports betting. Still others are drawn to the seemingly easy money of high-risk investments. Other reasons range from, an intolerable feeling state, such as helplessness, depression, or guilt, a highly developed capacity for self-deception, and exposure to gambling under certain circumstances in which it is valued. Other researchers have suggested that physical or hereditary may play a role; these facts have not been proven or disproved.
The effects on gambling can cause many different problems that including, but not limited to, financial problems. Gambling in the hope of more money is a big problem because, the gambler is preoccupation with gambling (preoccupied with reliving past gambling experiences, handicapping or planning the next plan, or thinking of ways to get money with which to gamble). Or the gambler needs to gamble with increasing amounts of money in order to achieve the desired excitement. There are some warring signs that the gambler is heading toward financial trouble, some examples may include, when they spend more money on gamboling but enjoy it less, they are always short cash even though they have a job- friends might say the money borrowed-several loans, and also when the family is always short cash to pay bills, clothing or even rent. The final problem the debt might cause is for the person to file for bankruptcy, causing the family to lose their house, vehicles, or any other prized possession they own.
