Into the wild

Chris McCandless my former name, I know think of myself as Alex, if you are reading this that means I am dead, but rather be dead then still living an unwanted life. Chris had a cushion of money and a-plus grades, why start a new life from one bailey begun? I knew the life that I wanted and it wasn't grad school and expensive cars, I was searching for something, a quest and a new life that changed Chris's (my former self) life forever. .
I gave twenty five thousand dollars in savings to a charity, and burned the cash in my wallet to reinvent my life, a life no long life of money or love could ever compare to. My new life was based upon freedom and I didn't stay in one place for too long, I have seen people in an unhappy life but are afraid of change and they were locked in one place and one life I knew that was not for me. After I abandoned my car because of a dead battery (from being stuck in the mud), I hitchhiked to the Stampede trail from Fairbanks and met man known as Gallien. He became a good friend of mine and helped me by supplying me with boots, a little money and food even when I would refuse. I traveled over north Dakota and back down through a little bit of Mexico, sneaking in illegally and making my way to the Pacific Ocean. There I purchased a small boat and rowed ways beyond the surf before deciding to leave Mexico after all the trouble to enter. My main goal was to make it to Alaska and as you know I did make it after all. Along my journey I did in fact meet friends along the way a girl even it was harmless flirting but as I did every place, I left the past behind me and moved on. I made my way to Alaska, it was amazing and a dream come true. Yet the climate was much harsher then I had expected, my clothes and shoes were not enough to keep me warm and I had experienced some form of frost bite. Food was scarce and in the end from the cold and lack of food unfortunately my journey had come to an end in an old abandoned school bus.
