My opinion on the movie, Much Ado About Nothing was very good. It had all the elements of the time period drama, romance, action, and comedy. The drama in this movie was very thick and plentiful. Especially when the Prince's brother, Don John, was trying to stop Claudio from marrying his love Hero. The trouble he caused was very sinister. He put people's lives in danger without even caring about their feelings. The tension between Benedick and Beatrice also setup some drama, which subsequently made the movie very enjoyable and funny. The battle between man and woman was well represented by the two characters. Claudio and Hero's love made the movie very romantic whereas Beatrice and Benedick's love was more of a struggle then it was a romance. The relationship between Benedick and Beatrice was different than others. In their relationship, they disliked each other, which brought them together, and their similar personality traits. .
Each character in Shakespeare's play Much Ado About Nothing whether they are a prominent figure or someone who is not even present, serves to add a significant meaning to the plot. All of the characters lend to the variety of emotions present, sparking anger, betray hatred, and love. Bendeick was a smart fun loving guy. He was also very stubborn he never wanted to give into other people's ideas and that was why he didn't want to give into the idea that marriage could be a good thing in a person's life. Beatrice was a very independent person she didn't rely on anyone for support. She was also very emotional changing her moods all of a sudden for no apparent reasons. The traits and characteristics are what brought them together. They both had very strong personalities being strong and independent. They both were against marriage, and were both happier alone or so they thought. Their strong personalities are what kept them from coming together. They both thought marriage was a bad idea, but actually hiding it in order to stay strong, and eventually with a little help they realized that love and marriage was a great thing.
