This movie proves that one man can change the views of many others. Henry Fonda saw throughout the case what was wrong with the people's testimony. He saw that all the pieces did not fit the way they should. The other eleven however thought the pieces fitted just right. Most of the jurors did not care; they just wanted to get out of there. They forgot that there was a young man's life was in danger.
The man who was always angry was mad at his son and he thought that saying this young man was guilty, was a way at getting back at his son. At the end of the movie he broke down crying and realized this was not a way to get back at his son so therefore he changed his vote to not guilty.
The baseball fanatic did not care about the case. He just wanted to see the Yankees play. He would get mad at Henry Fonda because he was keeping them there. Through the movie he started to realize that the Yankee's game didn't matter, and that the case was more important. He changed his vote to not guilty.
The bigot always referred to the race of the young man. He would always say "them". He thought just because the kid was a different race, he is a bad kid and must have killed his father. But as the movie went on, the evidence was not clear at all and the bigot realized that. So he changed his vote to not guilty.
The cold logical stockbroker was a very boring person. He looked at the evidence and the testimony as truths. He didn't take in the other possibilities. If the woman saw the young man kill his dad, he then had to kill his dad. If the man in the apartment downstairs heard the young man say " I'm going to kill you" then the young man must have killed his father. But once again Henry Fonda changed the stockbroker's mind. He voted not guilty. .
The juror who identifies with the young man first says he is guilty but he changed his mind because he also saw threw the evidence. I think he was the second one to vote not guilty.
