This is achieved by a set of standards in which the employees will want to produce at the best possible level and not undergo distractions such as sexual harassment or gender harassment. The wrong attitude of one employee can ruin the attitudes of many other employees, thus risking that productivity will diminish. Let's consider the employee who thinks that he is paid for an eight hour day and will put in those hours being as productive as possible. He looks over the entire workplace, understands that "there is always something to do- and will keep himself busy with whatever tasks need to be accomplished first. He also believes that each of the other employees could always find something to accomplish for the day. In this case, the employees are a team; and where one part of the team is unwilling to accomplish any task, the entire team is affected by it. Many employees may think the workplace, at times, is a large social gathering where football pools and Internet surfing on Ebay ® is just as important as accomplishing the mission for the day. These employees are easily distracted and will find that their actions, which are not work, related are a hindrance and, in the long run, will require them to work more hours in order to finish their tasks. They then complain that the workload is too much and not enough time was given. This non-focused attitude is not conducive to the entire team. The majority who do not share that desire and obligation to the employer hinders small minorities of employees, who work the eight-hour day and are willing to make-up time lost due to unforeseen personal circumstances. Attitude is an important part of the workplace. It can affect the amount of work that gets accomplished, the attitude of other workers, and attitude of the employer negatively or positively. .
             Often in a work situation, there is a need for change in someone's attitude for the sake of teamwork and relationships with co-workers.
