If you keep chewing you will eventually get a white spot there which means you have cancer. Also you can have a cigar. These have more tobacco than usual. They are bigger and carry more tobacco in them which is very harmful. Pipes are another way that you can use tobacco. You buy regular tobacco and you put it in a pipe. It is almost like a cigarette but you light the tobacco and smoke it but there is no filter so it is more harmful. So there are many ways that you can use tobacco.
             Now I will tell some brief history of tobacco. In 1492 tobacco was discovered. Tobacco was discovered by Christopher Columbus. People in those days didn't know what tobacco was. They received it by Indians as a gift and the American people threw it away. It was found in some Indians pipes from back in the early days before people discovered it. There was a certain fruit with it and the Americans ate the fruit and threw the leaves away not knowing what it was. In the early sixteenth century sailors would go on voyages and drop the leaves to plant them and there would be many tobacco leave growing in Europe. Then people started to realize that you could grow it and then people grew it and gave it to others as a gift. Then in the 1500 many people started to find out that the could use it for types of smoking.
             People also have various reasons to smoke. Most people think that it is cool to smoke . They also think that it makes them look good to other people but in fact it doesn't. Another reason is because of peer pressure. When people hang around people that smoke they are pressured to smoke also. They do it because their friends do it. People say that if you smoke it make you feel better, like if you were having a bad day that a cigarette would take all of your problems away.
             Some of the chemicals in tobacco are acetone, which is used in finger nail polish remover. Another chemical is cadmium which is used in all different types of batteries.
