             The Cold war was begun by two groups of people the Russians and the Americans. The post war engagement plays a big part in the cold war as well as the Cuban missile crisis. The deployment of missiles is set in October 26th were missiles were disengaged for various reasons.
             The post war engagement started off by the "Iron curtain". The iron curtain is a military, political, and ideological barrier established between the Soviet bloc and western Europe. The iron curtain made us believe that the war between us two would be unavoidable and such a war like World War Two would might reoccur.
             Cuban missile crisis was started while the Soviet union were pointing missiles at United States to stop us from emerging lead of the United States in developing and deploying strategic missiles. John Kennedy was shown photographs of Soviet missile installations under construction in Cuba. On October 22, Kennedy announced the discovery of the installations and proclaimed that any nuclear missile attack from Cuba would be regarded as an attack by the soviet union and would be responded accordingly. The soviet Union denied making the missiles in Cuba. The 2 countries sent back and forth many letters of proposing missile installations. President Kennedy also proposed that naval carriers would stop soviet union from shipments of weapons from getting to the Soviet Union.
             The deployment of missiles were the major part of the Cold war. It started on October of 26 when Khrushchev sent President Kennedy a letter explaining that he would dismount and personally remove the missiles for the U.S. if the United States does not invade Cuba. Another letter for the United States to dismount the missiles in there base in Turkey they would dismount also .America did not like the second deal and went with the first letter of not invading Cuba. Khrushchev agreed with the deal and expressed his trust that the United States would not invade Cuba.
