Fahrenheit 451 book report

Mechanical Hound- The Hound is not a real, living, organism; it's a machine. A machine that is dangerously precise, and feared by everyone. It is a killing machine. "-Mechanical Hound never fails. nose so sensitive [he] can remember and identify ten thousand odor indexes on ten thousand men without resetting" [133]. .
             5. Settings: The book takes place in America during the 24th century. Major setting's in this story includes Montag's home, the firehouse, and the outskirts of the town. Montag's home was not described in detail, except for the TV Parlor. The TV Parlor was a room with huge TV screens instead of walls, and you can interact with them. Montag's house is not a place that seems very comfortable. His room is always described as dark and cold. Its not a happy place, and he seems to be very depressed and sad when at his house. The firehouse is described as having a brass pole, and the list of forbidden books posted on the wall. The firehouse was kind of a scary place. The firemen sitting around the dark place, and the mechanical hound just downstairs. The outskirts of town is where Montag escapes the government and his life.
