the lord of the rings

The book I have chosen to read is The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, the second in the Lord of the Rings series by J.R.R Tolkien. I heard about how great the books were and how they were even better then the movies which I thought amazing so I decided to give it a shot and was defiantly not disappointed. .
In the start of this book two Hobbits named Bilbo Baggins and his heir Frodo Baggins are comfortably living in a town called Hobbiton located in the shire. It's Bilbos one hundred and eleventh birthday and he's throwing a big party for all to come. Everybody in the whole Shire knows about the party so Bilbo has planned a special surprise. He plans to use his ring to turn invisible and maybe everybody think he is no more although what he really wants to do is leave Hobbiton and explore the world and go on adventures like he used to. Though this time he will be without the ring for when he left he also left behind an envelope addressed to Frodo and inclosed in the envelope was the ring.
The story then goes to a long tale about the battles on middle earth and the history of the ring. A wise wizard and hobbit friend Gandalf the gray told Frodo he was now in charge of the ring and its destiny lied within him. What Frodo was told to do was destroy the ring but this was no ordinary ring and could not be destroyed by ordinary means. It had to be destroyed how it was made. For this Frodo must embark on an adventure right into the heart of the beast and cast the ring into the volcano of Mordor. But he wasn't going to be alone. He had his best friends Sam, Pippin, and Merry to help him out along the way.
So the young hobbit was off on his way to Mordor but it wasn't going to be easy and there would be many things, creatures, and wars standing in his way and right away there showed signs of this. Riders dressed in black cloaks with hoods so that nobody could see there faces were appearing everywhere.
