It must6 have been difficult for Mr. Hemingway to write about such controversial issue in a time where new ideas weren't exactly welcome. Although tit served as great mean for publicity and exposure. Not many writers were as daring, arrogant and had the self confidence to write about such controversial topics. Abortion drew crowds together and still does, it creates tension among crowds, some in favor other are against, but it is an issue that concerns us all, and as a society it should concern us. Writing about abortion was a great tactic for Hemingway to catch people's attention and catching their minds.
             William Blake a writer, poet, painter, engraver, in visionary among other things (A Pocket Anthology). Mr. Blake also wrote stories and books for children such as The Gates Of Paradise (www.tate.org). In 1790's Blake became more interested in writing political pieces. Some were too dangerous to publish. Blake was very opinioned, and dared talk about really delicate issues like child labor, which at this time 3was very wide spread and accepted in Europe. Blake wrote a very sensitive poem dedicated to kids in orphan homes, who lived in misery working a harsh job for literally nothing. Since he was involved with politics and was educated in the field he made an attempt to break some chains with this poem, he did not mind step in on toes, his main focus appears to be the reader, attempting to open some eyes and help raise public awareness about the politically incorrect child labor issue.
             William Blake's The Chimney Sweepers. Is a poem telling the life story of a group of orphans, working as chimney sweepers, a deadly profession that only ensured death in not too long and paid them close to nothing. Adding to that, the great risk that comes with being inside a chimney surrounded by chemicals and wasted material. This poem emphasizes on the dreams of hope among the group of children. A hope that will end their misery and bring them to happiness at last.
