Aquinas' Philospphy on God

God being all knowing would know about bad things and if he is all powerful would be able to stop all the bad from happening. Evil does exist whether it is man made or natural, however this alone cannot support the notion that god does not exist. .
             The creation of an ideal city, a perfect world, one that god wants for its citizens is one of free choice. A world, where individuals can make good decisions and decisions that are best for them. In order to make the best decision there must be some sort of doubt, some bad in order to make a the best possible choice. There must be some sort of evil existing in a perfect world if it is one where god wants free choices to be made. Having evil in their world is a condition that is needed in making a genuine decision. A world where there is some evil is a better world than the one where no evil at all. Ultimately a perfect world cannot exist. It may for a certain time period be perfect, however according to Plato with time an aristocracy will decay to a timocracy, to an oligarchy, then a democracy and then eventually to tyranny. The justification of evil existing in a perfect world is the freewill defense. This is known as the free will defense. In previous arguments from Pluto about the ideal city stated that an ideal city would eventually demise into chaos. .
             Thomas Aquinas's second most intriguing argument is the one that discusses possibility and necessity. "We find in nature things that are possible to be and not to be and not to be, once they are found to be generated, and to be corrupted, and consequently it is possible for them to be and not to be.
