Persuasive Argument

In the past 10 or 15 years more and more talented athletes have made a decision to leave school early and try to make lots of money being a professional athlete. All of them believe that they could make the big bucks and become a huge star. This is just not the case for many of them. Out of all the college athletes that leave school early and believe they will have a long career in the professional level, most of them are busts, and out of the pros within three years. Many of them receive very bad information from the wrong people, agents, and people that look up to them. They grow a big ego and believe they are better then they think, so they leave school early only to be disappointed on the day of the draft and not hear their name called. These players left college early thinking they will have a job with a professional team but find themselves jobless and unable to go back to school and finish their four years of eligibility for their sport. How can we help these athletes make the right decisions in their life, and have them finish college so they could improve their skills and have them receive a college diploma so they could be successful if they don't make it big in the professionals? There are numerous advantages for the athlete and the school if they stay in school and I believe that the only way to ensure that they will stay is to pay the student to play sports at their school. Many people think that paying college athletes is wrong but I will persuade you that it is the right thing to do.
The first reason that these athletes should get paid for playing their sport is that it is their job. A typical college student has a job such as stocking shelves at a store or working at a gas station to pay for their schooling. They probably work about 20 hours a week doing this job. Well from my own personal experience I could tell you that athletes in college spend just as much time on their sport if not much more.
