Atlantis


There were great cities, consisting of temples with gold roofs, grand palaces, and the fields were fertile. " The Atlanteans were civilized, kind, and obedient to their laws for a very long period of time" (Internet 1). The people on Atlantis were mainly Caucasian. There could have been several different religions, but there was mainly one. "The Atlanteans worshiped Poseidon and, of course, Cleito, whose seed they believed they were from" (Internet 1). .

Their buildings were more architecturally advance than anything at the time. Tools were advanced and the ability to create a masterpiece was in the grasp of the Atlanteans. They held absolute power of life and death over their subjects" (Braymer 21). Officials followed certain procedures and this helped keep the government in tact. "Their meetings began with an exchange of pledges as an ancient ceremony required" (Braymer 21). The ceremonies involved different rituals. Animal sacrifices were common. .
             The government was very tight and nothing was ever overlooked. "After dining together, and when the sacrificial fire was beginning to die down, they put on magnificent blue robes" (Braymer 22). There were many different laws and rules they established when the group was gathered together. Honor and trust were key factors in the government. "Just as long as they kept alive the noble spark of divinity they inherited from Poseidon, the kings of Atlantis were faithful to his laws and honored him" (Braymer 23).
