crazy beat

            watching this film, I really started to think about what the world has come too and no matter how much we think that we have changed, we still have the hate flowing through us. How the color of your skin is what we are fighting about and have been fighting about for hundreds of years. This movie is a clear representation of how we hate simply for the fact that we need somebody to blame and it is taken to the extreme buy this Neo Nazi group lead by Derek Vinyard. This movie is about race, hate, and a man's will to change. .
             Derek Vinyard is bothered by his little brother Danny in the middle of the night saying that his car is being broken into. Without hesitation he cocks his gun and goes out shooting killing one man and wounding another. The one man is struggling on the ground and Derek brutally murders him in cold blood. This act caused him to spend three years in prison and this is what sets the tone for the movie. This act obviously had a huge effect on the life of his younger brother Danny who had witnessed the whole thing. It caused him to begin his path towards becoming like his brother. This is a great start to the movie because it gives us a good idea of the brutality of the film and the race related issue that it deals with. .
             This honestly was one of the best movies I have ever seen because of the great acting by Edward Norton and the reaction that it got out of me. This movie touched on many topics of American society but I feel that one idea that really got me to think was how, not just America, but the whole world is so corrupt and how there is so much hate caused by something as stupid as the color of our skin or religious beliefs. The film deals with the belief that what is being done is going to make society better and that it will make their lives better but the product is only a growth of hate and suffering for both worlds. Even though the character of Derek Vinyard was a horrible person to start off, the transformation that he went through while he was incarcerated was amazing.
