             The film showed many things about the way some British people behaved toward the Indian during the early 1900's. In the movie there are very different views that people have toward the Indian people. The first couple that you see during the movie think that the Indian people are less than they are. When all the people in the welcoming committee are lined-up and the people are walking by and shacking their hand the conductor's wife is rude to the Indian's wife and doesn't even look at her. .
             Mr. McBryde and his wife go to a musical were Indians are not permitted and when Adela and Mrs. Moore and they comment on the fact that they have not seen any Indians Mrs. McBryde says that they are really lucky. Mrs. Moore and Adela seem like they want to explore all the wonders that India has to offer, while other people are there to make the Indians civil. When Mrs. Moore saw Dr. Aziz she seemed really nice and respectful toward him. Mrs. Moore seemed interested in what he had to say about India and didn't make any judgements about India and its people. .
             When Mrs. Moore and Adela went to the " Bridge" party both of them seemed really interested and not fake in meeting the people. When Mrs. Moore son was talking about the Indians in a non-respectful manner she got upset and said that after all they are all human beings. The party that Mr. Forster had Dr. Aziz seemed really excited to come and he was dressed in his "Sunday" best and when Mr. Forster broke his back cuff Dr. Aziz took his off and gave it to Mr. Forster. Adela and Mrs. Moore seem easy going. When Ronny Heaslop comes in and seems Adela sitting with her feet in the pool with Dr. Aziz and another professor he gets up set and tells her that they are leaving right away. .
             The relationship that Forster is trying to illustrate between the British and the Indians are that even though the British are in India they still seem to think that it is there country and they can do anything they want to do with it.
