Suicide


             In 2000, suicide was the 11th leading cause of death in United States.6 out of every 100,000 person died by suicide. There are different ages ,gender, and ethnic groups that are a higher rate for suicide. In young people it was the 3rd leading cause of death among 15-24 year old. Men attend to have a higher rate of suicide because of the method used. Women have the higher count of attempt suicide. Research shows that alterations abuse disorder, often in combination with other mental disorders. They also believe that levels of the brain chemicals have been found in patients with depression, impulsive disorders, are more likely to commit suicide. Elderly people are known to get more depressed so they are the highest rate of suicide in America. There depression occurs more often because of the illnesses that occur in their life's such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, and the lost of a spouse. .
             There are different types of suicides such as realistic, altruistic, inadvertent, spite, bizarre, anomic, and negative self. Realistic is a type of suicide that precipitated by such conditions as the prospect of great pain and preceding a sure death. Altruistic is when a persons behavior is subservient to a group ethic that mandates or at least approves suicidal behavior. Inadvertent is when a person makes a suicide gesture in order to influence or manipulate someone else, but a misjudgment leads to an unexpected fatality. Spite is a little different then the others its when the focus of the suicide is based on someone else. In there mind if they kill themselves it will cause suffer greatly from consequent guilt. This happens a lot in young peoples life's. Usually when a relationship goes bad and a person can't let go of another person they become depressed and then they start to have thoughts running threw there mind like " Why is he doing this to me" or like " I wonder if he would even care if I killed myself".
