             In the film named Erin Brockovich, Julia Roberts is the main character and portrays a powerful, shrewd and modern independent woman who faithfully pursues her fight for justice in spite of harsh circumstances she lives in.
             The main story of the film starts when Erin finds medical records in a routine real estate file with which she is working. She becomes perplexed and begins to ask questions using her own style. She goes and visits Donna Gensen who is very sick. She comes to discover that not only is she sick but her whole family. PG&E wants to buy their house and also paying for the Gensens doctor bills. She can not understand why. She starts searching and finds out that there is chromium in their water and that is why this company wants to buy the house so that they will not get in trouble. Many people in Gensen's neighborhood are dying and no one understands why. Chromium gets into their DNA so affects children as well. The doctor was telling the Gensen's that the tumors and cancers throughout the family are accidents, but PG&E is giving the money to the doctor. The entire neighborhood starts coming to Erin for help. Everyone is being very supportive and noticed that she is a hard working woman. The result is that Erin just breaks a breakthrough case and destroys the gigantic company.
             In addition to this main story there are also sub-stories that include Erin's private life. Erin is married and divorced twice and has three children to raise. She has a boyfriend named George and has shown much neglect to him and her children. She has a huge task in her hands and does not even realize what is going on. George is starting to spend so much time with her children that he is the one who hears that her little baby girl named Beth says her very first word, ball. She misses a very important part in her child's life. Erin's relationship with her boyfriend is also growing farther apart. They have a discussion when George wants to exit the relationship.
