Legal Immigration is a Serious Problem.
Immigration has always been part of the United States, is it time to end or greatly limit the inflow of outsiders? Whether legal or illegal, immigration is beginning to have a negative effect on the economy of the U.S. Each year millions of immigrants come to the United States in search for a new and better life (www.bergen.org/AAST/Projects/Immigration/waves_of_immigration.html). Immigrants are also taking many jobs from lower/middle class citizens. Without realizing it each immigrant who does not work and just lives off welfare is taking extreme amounts of money from American citizens who work and pay taxes. Illegal immigration is also a very serious problem that will take much money to fix. Immigration needs to come to an end, for the safety of the average American citizen.
Many immigrants who travel to the U.S. come from poverty and are looking to make money and start a new life. With this many immigrants are willing to work for cheap, even below minimum wage. Many companies will illegally hire these immigrants due to the fact that they cannot afford to pay American workers (http://www.brookesnews.com/030303immigration.html).
