The second part of the Stanza lists parts of his body things that are different from other people because of colour, "my feet know, and my hands and the skin about my bones" all these things are parts of his body that everyone else has, but he is saying that his are different because his know without a "board" to say it that its not the place to be because he doesn't feel wanted there. The next bit of the stanza really shows his anger against "whites" he says "the hot, white, inwards turning anger of my eyes" this suggests to me that there are white people all around him and he is the Black bit of his eye the pupil, the black/ coloured part of his eye is being closed down by whites and makes him feel unwanted because they are all around him and his in the middle. "The Anger of my eyes", shows us his feelings and that he is angry because of white people and what they have done.
The third stanza shows us how everywhere is white, it uses symbolic things to show this, the first thing he says that suggests whites only is "name flaring like a flag" this suggest that its in his face and it's the equivalent to a sign and it annoys him and angers him. "Incipient Port Jackson trees" these are trees that white people had planted. These are unnatural to the climate and area they are in and wouldn't be there if white people hadn't put them there. "Whites only inn" this is what the poet has nicknamed the place, the place doesn't really say that but he knows it, he knows that he isn't wanted in there and that if he was to go there then the man at the door would kick him out. This suggests that he doesn't feel any different in district six than he did before Apartheid ended. .
Stanza 4 is the shortest stanza in the poem all the others are regular pattern and are all 8 lines long but this stanza is only 2 lines long this stands out from all the other stanzas the stanza says "No sign says it is: but we know where we belong" this line is the line that really tells us how the poet is feeling he said it bluntly and plainly so it stands out and everyone can see what he feels.
