Zombie Films

As she wonders aimlessly she finds fellow non-infected companions that would aid her in finding answers to her questions. What happen? Why does world look like an apocalyptic hell? And most importantly, why are there creatures of the undead yearning for their flesh? After reading lots of movie reviews and having the privilege to watch the first six minutes of the movie 28 Days Later, the zombie flick (played by Cillian Murphy) has nearly the same storyline as Resident Evil. Instead of experiments on biological weapons, 28 Days Later originates its evil from lab monkeys let loose by animal activists disregarding the numerous warnings that they were infected with rage. Unlike the present day scientific explanations, movies from the late sixties till the early eighties took a more carefree approach. During this time period, directors [such as George Romero & Amando de Ossorio] focused their movies more on the storyline and gore rather then laying lots of emphasis on elucidating how the undead came to be. Characters in such films as Night of the Living Dead (1968) and Dawn of the Dead (1978), by director George Romero, could seem to careless about finding answers, but rather more concerned about staying alive. In Night of the Living Dead, Barbara (played by actress Judith O"Dea) runs helplessly away as she was victimized by pale-face stranger and eventually runs into an old and what seemed to be an unoccupied home. As more ghouls gather outside, Barbara is accompanied by Ben (played by Duane Jones) whom is also trying to seek refuge from the undead. Together they discover more survivors as they try to barricade themselves inside the home. While a good portion of the film is concentrated on Ben securing the home and keeping sanity within the group, the only explanation we are left with for the prowling undead was that a US satellite ventured out to Venus only to bring back a radioactive substance that triggered the unconscious.
