Drunk Driving


            Have you ever wondered what your underage teenager is doing when they are out having fun at a club? A night of fun, dancing, chatting and catching up with old times with their peers. Are they drinking when they are out having fun? When they return home and tell you that the alcohol odor is just because their friends were drinking.Do you believe that it's true? .
             Many night scenes today permits teenager to enter a club or a bar even when they are not of the legal drinking age. Advertisement on the radios always says eighteen year old to party and twenty one year old to drink. Therefore we may not need to worry about our children out their having fun. The sad fact is that many underage teenagers drink when they are out having fun with their friend. The worst-case scenario is when they drive home after drinking. We need to educate our children about the dangers of drunk driving.
             On many occasions when the police conduct a raid on these establishment they usually find underage teenager consuming alcohol on the premises. How could this be possible with the checking of identification cards to verify the drinking age? Many of these establishments provide a band that are fasten on the hands of those who are of the legal drinking age therefore when they purchase alcohol they only need to show the band , but there are many times when an older brother or an adult would purchase alcohol for their peers who are underage. .
             Alcohol, is the cause of many accidents especially among teenagers in our society today. Drinking and driving doesn't mix. In the United States alone, each year there are 16,000 deaths, that's approximately one casualty every 30 minutes, and nearly 300,000 injuries due to Drunk Driving related accidents. Would you want to see your love one injured or worst, dead? When people are intoxicated they seem to forget their responsibilities. They say that they are fine, and that is what they really believe, although they are slurring their speech and can barely walk.
