             Attention - Getter: Alcoholics, Rapists, Man Whores, Sluts, Killers, Buying your Friends, Drug Addicts, and Abusers are all stereotypes used to describe the Fraternity brothers and Sorority sisters.
             Central Idea: Fraternities on campus participate and contribute to the University community more than what people think. .
             Credibility: I have been in the Theta Chi Fraternity for two and a half years and have been friends with most of the brothers for four years. For the past two and a half years I have heard all these comments, whether they were directly implied or just overheard, it still involved me because I am a Greek and it upsets me. .
             Preview: Through my speech I am going to tell you about the problem with stereotyping, my Fraternity and the contributions that Greeks provide to this campus to give you a better understanding of what we really stand for. .
             Transition: Let me first tell you about the problem .

             I. Stereotypes of Greeks have been around since they came around in the 19th century. .
             A. Most people don't like fraternities or sororities because of the things they have heard, for example they don't want to buy their friends, or they don't want to be forced to drink excessive amounts of alcohol.
