Monotheistic Religion

What is a monotheistic religion? Monotheistic religion applies to religions that believe in only one God. Meaning that God is supreme, alone but occasionally interferes with his creation. A few examples of monotheistic religions are Judaism, Christianity and Islam. These three religions believe that God is one, maybe it is because they are related in some ways for they evolve in the same geographical region.
Even though there is believe in only one God, there are a couple of names for God. For example the Jews call God Yahweh, Elohim and El-Shaddai and for the Christians are God, the Father and the father of Lord Jesus. For Islam, God has ninety-nine names but the supreme name of God is known as Allah. Different name-callings are some of the factors that lead to the misunderstanding in the religion. All these happen gradually, therefor as time passes, a lot of changes happen to the religion. Let us look at some other factors that cause these religions to change and at the same time develop for the society that we live in now.
Language is one of the most important factors in spreading and teaching religion. Failure to communicate might resolve in different understandings of a religion from where it is originally "established". Let us take Christianity for example. The old and New Testament, which is also known as the Bible, has gone through a lot of changes in its writing. The Bible has gone through several changes; it was taken from the Scriptures of Judaism and was change into the understandings of Christians. The original version of the Bible was written in Greek. As time went by, the Bible was translated into different languages. This is where some of the words might have been changed and this will result in having different meanings. People's understanding towards the written material is also the cause of misinterpretation in the teachings and thus will cause conflicts.
The spreading of a religion to different parts of the world may have an effect of different cultures.
