Observation Of Moses

I find it interesting in Kirsch's examination of the Midianites. Kirsch seems to display them in a very innocent and unfortunate manner. Even in the Bible, their mention seems to be a sort of lost or unguided description. "The Bible depicts the Midianites as a tribe of camel nomads, wandering the wilderness in search of pasturage for their sheep and goats, and they have long been imagined." This seems to portray them in a way that they have no use for life, and therefore in the angle it is presented seems to be some sort of justification of the slaughter of their people. I believe that a lot of religous books and teachings seem to be one sided and therefore present a very biased view and seem to form an unjust for of justification. I believe that there are many ways to present one kind of story.for example as we talked about this matter during lecture, someone pointed out that when they had read history in different historical books, each one had presented a situation in history differently. These differences were slight, and so are the differences between religions that follow along the same line, such as Judaiism, Christianity and Islam. I believe we basically just have the option to choose which historical book, if you may call it that, we choose to follow.
