Reflection

The life of darkness is a life without God, the life of light is one with God. These are two drastically different lives. While being so different they also share one thing, they are rather easy to get into. God promises us many things in both lives, but there's only one that offers us his unending love. We have a choice between darkness and light, many people choose the dark, but the saved follow the light. In this paper I will explain the lives God offers us and what they entitle. .
             Life of Darkness:.
The life of darkness is one where we are completely separated from God, when we are alive and when we are dead. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life." (1) "Whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." (2) All we have to do is believe and confess and we will be saved. "That the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light." (3) Nobody wanted to be saved, they were scared of the light. In Matthew 19:16-22, the rich man asks Jesus what he needs to do to have eternal life. "Teacher, what good must I do to gain eternal life?" "Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be perfect, go sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." When the young man heard this statement, he went away sad, for he had many possessions." The man did not want to give up what he had. He got used to the darkness of his life and was too scared to go out into the light. .
             Life of Light:.
The life of light is one where we are at God's side, alive and dead. This is the life many are scared to choose. They don't want to come out of the darkness. But those who do, have eternal life with God and all the reward's of heaven. Take the story of Zacchaeus, a tax collector that stole from the people.
