Catholic trends in Church

The religious event that I chose to attend was one of the Catholic Church. The Catholic's believe in monotheism. They also believe in saints. Saints are held to the same extent as to god but god is the one that controls everything. There are different saints in the Catholic Church and depending on your needs you pray to the God first and then you can ask a saint for a favor, but you always got to pray to god first. You can even light candles to different saints. In other religions that don't even have saints. Saints are prophets of god you can say.
When the religious ceremony starts the priest comes in through the back of the room and the ushers and guest readers follow behind him. The priest is holding the bible up in the air and the people just stand there in silence and wait for everybody to get to the front of the room. When the priest gets to the front of the room he say's pray and everybody does an "Our Father" and then mass can start. The priest is the hierarchy of the church he over rules over everybody. He's is a messenger from god you can say. The catholic people in the community go to the priest for everything. He can be a marriage councilor, give you advice and if somebody sick in your family you can go to him and ask him to pray for that person so you get better.
Now that mass has officially started he starts to lecture and when he mentions certain things the people give a response, like a chant. After everything point that is made in the lecture there is a song that is sung. Everybody sings and it's really loud. The thing that struck me the most is why they have to stand up, and then sit down and kneel and etc. I got tried of standing up. It's no wonder why little kids get restless in church. Theirs are many parts to a Catholic Church ceremony. The first one is half way during the church they always play this song. The peace song and during this song you have to shake hands with people around you and say I come in peace and they say the same thing to you.
