Violence

Has our modern society become a violent one?.
Whenever I see or hear terrible news I am simply shocked. After that, I am usually thinking a lot about our society. Nowadays, news are being more and more full of shocking events. We all know that violence is everywhere around us. We can see it in best-rewarded movies (Gladiator is definitely one example), hear about it on the news or read about it in the newspapers. Each day, a lot of robberies, rapes and even murders happen. Does this really mean that violence and aggression are destroying our society? Has our society really changed over the years or do media just talk about it more? All these are questions, which I am trying to answer. .
Now lets return to our main question. Has our modern society become a violent one? Each person has probably different opinion about that item. Since I have found more arguments, which prove that our society has become a violent one, I personally think the answer is yes. According to my opinion, people of this time are a lot more aggressive than they were few years before. We are all exposed to different kind of violence that we see on the television or perhaps also at the school, at work or simply on the street. .
Is there any connection between observing violence and aggressive behaviour?.
Well, for many years now, there has been a debate about that issue. Some say that aggression is innate but others say that observing violence may increase the potential for aggression, through imitation and priming. Exposure to violence, specifically in children, has a lasting effect on how a child grows and interacts with the world.
When it comes to violence, everyone is a victim. I think that also relationships between parents and their children are not such as they supposed to be. In the past relationships between family members were completely different. Parents had more time for their children and therefore they spent a lot time with them.
