Drugs

The world today has so many people abusing drugs and not actually knowing what the affects are of each one. They believe uppers and downers are basically the same things, but they are not. I believe the two most popular drugs today are heroin and hallucinogens. They are alike in many forms but also differ a lot. Teens today don't really understand what these drugs are and how they really affect a persons brain and personality. .
Teens today are using hallucinogens all the time, yet they have no idea what they are putting into their body. Hallucinogens are also known as acid, ecstasy, mushrooms, lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), etc. These drugs can be taken in many forms such as pills, liquid, powder, food forms, etc. Let it be known that according to a study done in 1999 only one percent of teens use hallucinogens on regular basics and 94 percent of teens have never used a hallucinogen before. Hallucinogens increase the heart rate and blood pressure which can lead to putting you in a coma or can even cause heart and lung failure. Hallucinogens alter how the brain perceives time, reality, and the environment around them. It affects they way they think, hear, see, and react to situations.
Hallucinogens are easy to develop a tolerance for making the person have to take more and more at the time of taking whatever the choice is. These drugs can cause a person to have flashbacks up to years after using. It's not always easy to tell if a person is using but you can always watch to see id the person is depressed, dilated pupils, paranoia, trembling, etc. Basically, anything out of the norm. .
Slang, smack, horse, mud, brown sugar, junk, black tar, big h, dope, skag are all different names for Heroin. Although to study's done in 1999 only two percent of teens reported have only tried it. Still I believe it is important that it no one should become addicted. Heroin is used in a few ways one: smoking it, two: sniffing it, three: shooting it.
