Dudash that was so excited about teaching that she glowed everyday. I can not even remember the lessons but I can remember her making us laugh, making us scream with excitement and even making us cry, reading her favorite story: I Love You Forever. She would get so excited about something that she would run and slide across the classroom, either to get our attention or just because she was that happy. It was then that I decided that I wanted to be like her, I wanted to teach. .
From then on things got even better. I moved up with my classmates to fourth grade, where I started math honors. In fourth and fifth grade we had the same teacher, Mrs. Volpe. Although she was not quite as enthusiastic as Mrs. Dudash she always made learning fun. When it was time to move on to the sixth grade, no one was ready. We all wanted her to come with us; unfortunately she could not. Grade school was great and I can say that I was really influenced by great teachers who loved their jobs. I can only hope that I will bring that same level of enthusiasm into my classroom. .
When I started high school I started having doubts about school. I clashed with many of my teachers and there was no escaping them. I had to sit miserably through their classes. I can remember one, Sister Patrice. I swore she hated me. My parents of course did not believe me until they met with her. At parent teacher night when my father said that I was his daughter she gave him a nasty look. Even when I tried, I could not stay out of trouble. I barely passed English and conduct that year.
There were also the great teachers like Mrs. Liebech, and Dr. Csongor who gave me something to look forward to. Mrs. Liebech was my freshman and senior English teacher. Even though I hated English, and I swore that she was crazy, her class was always fun. She would take time with me after school to help with schoolwork or just to talk and I grew close with her my senior year.
