Egypt

Egypt is a country in Northern Africa that borders the Mediterranean Sea. Although its total area is 1,001450 square kilometers, it is still more than three times the size of New Mexico. Since Egypt is hot with dry summers, and moderate winters, their natural resources vary from other countries. It also has natural hazards that effect the resources of petroleum, iron ore, phosphates, manganese, limestone, gypsum, talc, asbestos, lead and zinc. These include droughts, frequent earthquakes, flash floods, landslides, volcanic activity, dust storms, and sand storms. Although Egypt is filled with hazards, people just can't stay away from Cairo, which happens to be the capital and largest city in Egypt. The Nile River divides most of Egypt's land into two parts, being the Arabian Desert on the right of the Nile and Delta's on the left. According to researchers, Egypt is 90% desert, and also less than one tenth of the land is settled or under cultivation. .
Egypt has been a place to settle since 3200 B.C, and continues to be which is shown throughout population counts. One of the first civilizations to develop irrigated agriculture and basically arose from the Nile River. Then later on, trade began between Egypt and Asia, Africa, and China, which then caused some people to merge over the boarder and go to Egypt. Especially since Egypt is know for it's rich agricultural resources. Since then, tribes, people and several religious groups have also made Egypt their home, and have brought some of their language and culture with them and continues to spread now a days, creating a growing population.
While studying the population growth of Egypt and graphing it out, I came to conclusions about what degree of function or line of regression fit the best when my data was graphed. At first I tried the linear function and realized that the line didn't go through the majority of the points, which means there is likely to be a more accurate function to be used.
