Female Friendships... Do They Really Exist?

Many women probably believe that they have a fulfilling female friendship. However, the greater part of the female population even now lives in a hetero-reality. The majority of female friendships lack the thoughtfulness, passion, worldliness, and happiness, which are the conditions of female friendship as defined in, "A Passion for Friends-, by Janice G. Raymond.
Thoughtfulness is characterized by the ability to reason and by considerateness and caring. Many women would depict themselves as a thoughtful being, merely by its definition. However, thoughtfulness is thinking - a necessary condition of female friendship - thinking considerateness/considerate thinking. Raymond says that most women are trained to perform thoughtfulness task, which she described as "going into robot- and "emotional labor-. These tasks are extended to the lives of men and children. If women wanted to incorporate a strong female friendship in their lives, they would have to affirm that thinking is a primary condition. Thinking and friendship contribute to one another.
From the Oxford English Dictionary passion is defined as "any kind of feeling by which the mind is powerfully affected or moved an eager outreaching of the mind toward something."" Raymond says that friendship is a passion, a thoughtful passion, that manifest in a thinking heart. A passionate friendship holds no separation between thought and passion. Emily Dickinson articulated the uprightness between the two with this passage:.
The Heart is the Capital of the Mind ".
The Mind is a single State ".
The Heart and the Mind together make.
             A single Continent ".
She implies that a friendship with both characteristics, thought and passion, will ensure that a friend does not lose her Self in the intense affection for another women. .
Raymond goes on to define worldliness, "the world as a sphere of public activity, where thought becomes concretized and action meaningful .
